Stadium and Valley reactions.
Those are the two new trailers, that Sriver also posted in the shoutbox

Valley:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hfCcQG5n5M

Stadium (It's just a port to TM2 engine)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5Qnws7Njas&feature=plcp

I am too shocked to post my opinions now, so it's up to you to discuss.

RE: Stadium and Valley reactions.
I guess Nadeo will never understand that the only reason why Stadium got so popular was because it was free...

I'm curious to see valley though. Hope I'll have a better PC when it's released. ^^
Signed up for both betas anyway ( http://www.trackmania.com/valley/ and http://www.trackmania.com/stadium/ ).

Valley seems nice, as seemed Canyon, dunno if I'll buy it. I think I won't.

Stadium in TM²? Not for free? :O

Anyway, signed up for Valley beta. Smile

Oh btw, maybe it's not the games themselves that shocked me, but I just love the Stadium trailer Biggrin

RE: Stadium and Valley reactions.
Both, Stadium and Storm will have a FreeZone mode. In Storm, Royal and Elite will be playable for free, Nadeo gave no information about how the FreeZone will look like for Stadium.

Stadium is a nice step from Nadeo to bring the TMF players to Maniaplanet, let's hope that this will boost the activity of Canyon, too. Valley looks pretty nice, and being a Noslide envi makes it more interesting for me Smile The new features of Storm are nice, but not really big changes. Let's see what will be possible with the new blocks ^^

Btw: If you want to read more details, read here the German report of Mania-Community about the announcement: http://www.mania-community.de/showthread...aPlanet%21

if Stadium is free it's cool, if not, just unneccessary.

Valley looks freaking awesome tho. Like some kind of mix of Stadium and Rally, and that is super awesome. And you drive a Mini Cooper. I mean, Minis are awesome.

Same for me here. If Stadium isn't free, I will for sure never put a finger on it. Are the any changes? Or will everything stay the same?

The trailers itself were awesome.

I think it's cool to have Stad with the new graphics engine (what is really fabulous if you ask me), but it isn't worth the money if it isn't free if you ask me.

RE: Stadium and Valley reactions.
The trailers were very well made, I enjoyed all three of them Smile
Valley looks best to me. I like how Nadeo put some details into the environment like the birds you can see in the trailer. This is definitivly something environments missed until now, those little details and dynamic events.

I think I might buy TM2 when it releases!

Stadium seems to be an odd addition to me, though. It looks exatly the same as in TMF, so it just makes sense that it's going to be free. I think Nadeo wants the players to stick to ManiaPlanet instead of TMF, thus they put Stadium in the game...

I was able to put my hands on Stadium@Maniaplanet, and I did not notice any differences to Stadium@TMF. But I have to say: I do not play Stadium very often, so this statement must not mean anything ^^

I'm curious whether the old stadium maps will be compatile with the new stadium. I hope it boosts Canyon a little.
My first reaction to the Valley trailer was: light poles Blink
Still signed up for the Valley beta. Biggrin

well that looks a lot like Colin McRea dirt, not sure if that's good. We'll see what you can do with more advanced building parts, all these that he used were pretty simple.

When I was able to play Stadium@Maniaplanet, there were Maps from the Star campaign available. So the maps will be definitly compatible, except PF maps I think Wink2

RE: Stadium and Valley reactions.
Ah sorry, I forgot that I did not mentioned it here Biggrin

As one of the administrators of Mania-Community.de, the biggest German community forum, I was invited by Nadeo (and Ubisfot) to take part in a little event a week ago. There, Nadeo presented mostly the same things as they did today on the Paris Games Week. After the presentation, we were able to play Storm Beta2 and Stadium on some PCs, and we had a lot of fun. It was a nice feeling, to know and test these new features before anybody else Tongue

It was really surprising for me (and another admin of the ManiaCommunity) to be invited, as we thought the ManiaCommunity is still too small. Yet we were able to meet quite a lot of the Nadeo team: Of course Florent, Alinoa, Cerovan and some others. It was a great atmosphere, especially during the little tournement with 32 players and a "real" ESports moderator Biggrin (btw. I took the 5th place... at least I reached the final round of 8 players Biggrin)

The only sad thing was, that there was no time to see Paris itself. Early in the morning we flew to Paris, late in the afternoon was our back trip to Germany. First time in Paris, and I did not even saw the Eiffel tower etc Sad (Btw. these were my first flights, so I were very nervous... not only becous of them, but because of meeting Nadeo, too. Luckily I had the other admin at my side to support me thorugh the trip Biggrin )

There will be a (German only) report about this trip next week or so, maybe you want to read it when it is done ^^
